One Day Course in Coaching & Mentoring


This course is suitable for delegates who want to learn about coaching and mentoring techniques, the differences between coaching and mentoring, and when it is best to use each style of approach to meet organisational objectives.


On completion of this programme delegates will be able to:

  • Distinguish the difference between coaching and mentoring
  • Identify situations and scenarios when to use coaching, and when to use mentoring
  • Investigate coaching models and mentoring models that you can use within your home organisational context
  • Have a better understanding of your own personality traits and values and how these impact upon you as a coach, and as a mentor
  • Investigate limiting beliefs that you can resolve as a coach and as a mentor

Programme Content

This one-day course will include the following components:

  • Introduction, background and best practice research and theory on coaching and mentoring models, tools and techniques
  • Assessment of your own personality traits and values in relation to coaching and mentoring
  • Practical application of coaching and mentoring techniques across a range of scenarios
  • By the end of this one day course delegates will have developed an individual and organisational action plan identifying opportunities to implement coaching models and mentoring solutions that can be used within their own organisation


This is a one-day course, delivered over 7 hours – commencing at 9.30am and finishing at 4.30pm.


£300 per delegate to include lunch and refreshments, course materials and follow-up on-line resources and support for professional and organisational development.
