Award-winning people development leader WELL Training has appointed four new key team members to grow capacity on the back of a year of extended growth.
WELL, who deliver learning and development programmes for the likes of Caffé Nero and Edgewell Personal Care, parent company of Wilkinson Sword, has strengthened its coaching staff and the business management line-up to set up the company for future success.
Terry Elliott has joined the WELL team as Finance Manager, Rachel Thomas will draw upon experience working for Black Country colleges in her role as Operations Manager, and Samantha Mason has taken up the post of Data and Compliance Manager having previously worked as Senior Claims / Monitoring Officer at City of Wolverhampton College.
To further strengthen the teaching team, Debbie Filgate has joined WELL as Senior Learning Coach, bringing a wealth of business experience from working for leading brands such as Veolia as well as teaching roles for the Open University and Dudley College.

The additions to the team come after WELL won two prestigious West Midlands business awards on the back of a successful year. Earlier this month the firm was named small business of the year prize at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards and won the family business prize at the 2021 West Midlands Business Masters Awards, organised by news website Business Desk.
The new appointments also follow the strengthening of WELL’s governance board, led by chairperson Paul Kennedy alongside a panel of experienced education and people development experts, including Harmesh Manghra, Lead Advisor for strategy, curriculum and quality at Sandwell College and a former HM Inspector for Ofsted.
In July WELL was commended for delivering high quality apprenticeships by receiving a “good” rating in its first ever full inspection by Ofsted.
Key clients
WELL launched in 2010 and now provides organisation development services to companies and organisations ranging from premium coffee house brand Caffé Nero through to the NHS. In recent months it has expanded to work with clients worldwide, including Cherry Hill Programs, a leader in photography at more than 900 venues across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Based in Wolverhampton, WELL is a Black Country success story with the team “flying the flag” for the West Midlands region by working with clients across the UK and around the world.
Based around a core team of CEO Lindsey Flynn, her mother and Director of Apprenticeships Jackie Wyke plus sister and Creative Director Lianne Russell, WELL deliver compelling staff training development solutions for clients across the globe from their Black Country base.
WELL have extensive experience of delivering bespoke training for clients online, which it had grown before the global lockdown saw learning go digital. It also shapes successful apprenticeship programmes for leading national brands, often working online with cohorts across the country.
CEO Lindsey Flynn said the appointment of the four newcomers would allow WELL to build on its progress over the last year.
