WELL Training chairperson takes on Virtual London Marathon for charity

WELL Training’s chairperson Paul Kennedy will embark on a marathon effort this weekend to raise funds for a charity close to heart which supports young people in career development.

Paul, who joined the WELL team as part of our growth teams at the start of the year, will be taking part in the Virtual London Marathon with friend Jon Goulding this Sunday (Oct 3).

The pair will run around a selection of north London parks as well as taking in the Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa game.

They are raising funds for Caroline’s Pathfinders, the charity Paul set up to help young people into work in memory of his late wife Caroline.

Paul explains: “We are two long standing friends who run every weekend and we are attempting to take on the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October.

“We’ll be starting andfinishing in Oak Hill Park in Barnet taking in as many Enfield/Barnet Parks as possible.

“This is a London Marathon with a difference though as we head for the ‘home of soccer’, the White Hart Lane home of Tottenham Hotspur, where we will stop off in the lounge for some refreshments and watch the mighty Spurs, all while dressed in our London Marathon kit.

“At the end of the game we will be heading on the last leg of our journey ending up in Oak Hill Park late on in the day.

“We are raising money for Caroline’s Pathfinders, the charity that awards grants to young people aged 16-24 to help with their career development.”
