The tourism and leisure industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the UK. With many flexible working opportunities in this sector across the region, with great career potential, this growing sector could provide you with the job you always wanted.
This totally free programme will give you the skills and training, but ultimately the confidence and the on-the-job practical experience to help you gain a job in this sector. With your own personal learning mentor, skills and training support throughout, and real work experience at some of the top leisure and tourism destinations, this programme will help you start your career in this industry.
The Community Matters programme is specifically looking to support anyone from across the Black Country who is unemployed or economically inactive. To take part in the programme you must be legally resident in the UK and able to take paid employment in European Union member states and unemployed or economically inactive.
So if you have been out of work for a while and perhaps would like to access support to help you back into work, WELL can help. Or perhaps you may not be claiming Jobseekers benefits but have not worked for a while and would like to access support to help you get into employment. You may have been out of work due to childcare, been ill, or just taken some time off. Whatever the reason, we can help you back into a job that suits you.
- Can demonstrate you are unemployed (claiming Jobseekers/similar benefits) OR
- Can demonstrate you have been economically inactive (not working or earning, but not jobseeking)
- Must be legally resident in the UK and able to take paid employment in European Union member states
- Willingness to attend skills/training support sessions delivered locally across the Black country (all travel expenses will be reimbursed)
